I wish to create a programme for the development of athletics among veterans, actively participate in international competitions, European and World Championships, and promote the name of Lithuania with high
achievements.

Passing years do not allow giving up. The wheel of time keeps turning.
Antanas RUGINIS
In 2014, I was very glad to discover the athletics veterans’ competition. Since then, I envied the team spirit of the participants of the Vilnius and Klaipėda clubs. I was surprised that there is no organisation that unites everyone, and I really wanted to become an equal member of the family. Therefore, I viewed the news about the founding of the Lithuanian Athletics Masters Association very positively. Upon becoming convinced that this will make the healthy lifestyle of Lithuanian veterans more active, attract those wishing to compete in the sectors of sports and make the competitions larger in scale. I dream of Lithuanian regional competitions, such as Ažuolas and Marijampolė Cup, which made its debut recently.

We are happy to have the opportunity to take part in active sports, to realise ourselves on running tracks, jumping pits and throwing sectors. We are proud to represent Lithuania in the Baltic region, Europe and the whole World. Such competitions also include priceless time of being surrounded by like-minded people, unforgettable travel experiences.
We hope that the establishment of LLAMA will make this whole experience more meaningful and will become an achievement for an even wider number of active people.
Genovaitė Kazlauskienė
I wish everyone success, endurance, and strength. Let our ranks grow, the Lithuanian flag rise, and the Lithuanian anthem play.
Giedrius Šlekys
Sports keep accompanying me throughout my whole life. By growing up in a sports-oriented family, I quickly realised that sports are an integral part of our quality life. Having fallen in love with sports in my youth, I cannot and do not want to give it up even until now. I am very glad to have rediscovered sports at an older age – in the community of masters (veterans).
I wish for everyone to fall in love with sports, no matter the age, because there is no age limit in sports.

We, the masters, continue being young. We also continue the works and solid foundations laid down by elite athletes! Let's keep moving and stay active!

I am glad that the association has been established here. I believe that we will unite all of Lithuania. I wish success, endurance, and strength for those joining to the association.

We finally managed to realise our dream – the master’s association has been established!
And although various associations in our neighbouring countries have been operating for more than twenty years, we will do our best to keep up with them.
